She was a news producer here.-
"After one day, I said I love this, I want to do this for the rest of my life," Luciani added.
That is until she moved south, to New York. She developed a flare for fashion, wanting now to be in front of the camera.
"The magazine I wrote for was called The Wag. It was a society and lifestyle magazine for Westchester county."
Through the magazine she met designers like Michael Kors and Issac Mizrahi and started honing her skills to be a brand ambassador.
"I called producers and came back to Albany even though I lived in Westchester and came back and did fashion segments on noon and morning shows."
It worked. Gigs at New York City stations followed, part of the plan to get her dream job on the Today Show.
"I kinda stalked them for a year and they kept telling me no," Luciani recalls.
So, back to the drawing board- this time she'd have to get personal.
"I had a breast deformity and it affected me in my teenage years."
She discussed the issue in 'The Bra Book' her best seller.
"You have women who have kids and their breast change and they're embarrassed with their husbands you have women with breast cancer," Luciani said.
In the book she shows women how to find the right bra for them and that book would be her pathway to her dream.
"I remember watching the Hoda and Kathy Lee show and said to my daughter mommy's gonna be on there one day."
A month later she was. Today, she's also on QVC pushing Soma Intimates.
She encourages women to never give up on their dreams.
