Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Pottstown — Trunk or Treat will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. in the Emmanuel parking lot, located behind the building. Safe haven for collecting goodies for all costumed children. Bethel Community Church

Pottstown — Saturday at 10:30 AM, the Sisters in Spirit Women's Ministry will be meet in the Community Room. Inviting all Women of BCCP and Pottstown Community. On Sunday at 9:15 AM, it's Community Sunday School when the topic of discussion will be "Grateful Faith" and every member and friend of BCCP are invited to attend. At 10:30 AM, it's "Greek Sunday" designed to expose all youth/teens to higher educational opportunities and Black Greek Letter Organizations. Our guest preacher will be Reverend LoVelle McMichael, Pastor of Greater New Hope Baptist Church (Greensboro, NC). On Monday at 6:00 PM, the BCCP Food Pantry will be open and accepting new applications during distribution of food. Community Bible Study on Thursday at 12:00 Noon in the Library. Zion's UCC

Pottstown — Zion's United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets, welcomes Kim Adamson as guest pastor to the 10:15 am worship service this Sunday. This Sunday Halloween Fun will be Mini Golf at the Carousel on High Street at noon following church. A spooktacular lunch of Pizza and beverage will be served. Sign-up was with Sharon Moser. Part of the 250th anniversary celebration this year is caring for this historic church. This year the Fall Ingathering collection will be divided with 75% of the monies going to the new slate roof for the church and the other 25% to Church World Services for Disaster Relief. This mission project will help CWS focus on the victims of Hurricane Dorian. Zion's will continue backing the Helping Hands program at Bethany that reunites unaccompanied youth from Central America with family that already resides in the USA. Bethany provides them with a safe place to live until reunited with their families. Children ages 5 to 14 years need clothing, school supplies and toiletries. As in the past, the congregation will host the Homeless Shelter for the month of January. The sign-up sheet for meals and supplies is in the chapel lobby. Wednesday night is Pizza and Ping Pong at 5:30 pm, Handells at 6:30 pm and Choir at 7:30 pm.

First Baptist

First UCC

Royersford — First UCC, 367 Washington St., Royersford, will celebrate the 20th Sunday after Pentecost at 11 am Worship with Rev. Sharon Morris, Associate Conference Minister preaching. A Halloween Fun Night will be held in the Social Hall from 4-7 pm.

St. John's UCC

Pottstown — St. John's UCC, 11 S. Price St., Pottstown, welcomes Rev. Judy Miller as guest pastor on Sunday. Congregation members will greet "Trick or Treaters" on Thursday, Oct. 31. A tent and lights will be set up outside of the church building for members to pass out goodies. A Fall clean-up is scheduled for November 2nd beginning at 9:00AM. Help will be needed with jobs big and small!

St. Peter's Lutheran

Pottstown — St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St., Pottstown, will celebrate Reformation Sunday with Worship Services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. The liturgical color of the day is "red," which represents the Holy Spirit and the Martyrs of the Christian Church and the congregation is asked to wear a "red" colored article of clothing. Adults and Children are encouraged to attend the Pastor's 6-Week Study Class on the "Ten Commandments" beginning today from 9:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. Starting Sunday, the Lutheran Church Women (LCW) will begin selling homemade Chow Chow at $4 per pint and $8 per quart. St. Peter's Book Club will met on Monday evening, 7-8 p.m. to discuss the book "Little Wolves" by Thomas Maltman. Light refreshments will be served.

Trinity UCC

Pottstown — Trinity UCC, 60 N. Hanover St., will hold an "all you can eat" pancake breakfast Saturday at Applebee's on N. State Street in Pottstown, from 8 to 10 AM. Adults tickets are $7,00 and children are $4.00, and are available at the door. On Sunday, Trinity will celebrate Reformation Sunday. Members and visitors are asked to wear "Red" for worship.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran

Boyertown — 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown. Ally's Breakfast & Blood Drive will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8-11 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All-you-can-eat breakfast - $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and children 10 and under; Children age 4 and under free. Blood donors receive a FREE breakfast! Proceeds from the funds raised at the event will be given to the Gift of Life Family House, a home away from home for transplant patients and their families who are receiving organ transplant related care in Philadelphia and the surrounding hospitals. St. Luke Lutheran

Gilbertsville — Join us at 8:30 on Sunday mornings for our Adult Bible Study group to discuss the readings of the day. Join us for worship at 9:30, a.m. We celebrate Reformation Sunday, and give thanks and praise to God for the gift of faith and the Good News that names us Saints and Sinners, Children of God! Pottstown — Our Thrift Shop will be open from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. Other community activities at church Saturday include a Trick or Treat Trail from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with a free hot dog lunch and later, a Ribs and Chicken Dinner from 4-6:30 PM. Obelisk — A “Trunk or Treat” event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Children are invited to dress up in Halloween costumes and receive treats. Brownback's UCC

Spring City — Join us for our Adult Sunday School at 8:45 a.m. and remain with us for our Traditional Worship Service at 10 a.m. Pastor Mark Stryjak will be preaching on A Humbling Reminder. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism with Samuel Jacob Iezzi, son of Brian and Kaitlin Iezzi. St. James Lutheran

Limerick — A "Fall Clean-Up Day" will start at 8:30 a.m Saturday. Workers will clean up the church grounds. The annual costume party, "Trunk or Treat," will start at 4 p.m. on Sunday. The children's costume parade will lead into Trunk or Treating in the parking lot. Prizes will be awarded for creativity used in decorating the trunks of cars. Tractor rides and other activities will be part of the event. Hot sandwiches, drinks, and desserts will conclude the evening. Church is located at 93 Kugler Road, Limerick.

Centennial Lutheran Church

Kimberton — 1330 Hares Hill Road, On Sunday, Oct. 27, Reformation Sunday will commemorate the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. On this day, in appreciation of God's blessing to us, Centennial will also be celebrating Stewardship Sunday, by consecrating estimates of financial giving for the coming year. Pastor Jerry Tancredi will be bringing the message and the sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated. Following the worship service, there will be a the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, there will be a worship service at 9:30 AM. Bible study is held at the church on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM. Everyone is welcome to join with Pastor Jerry for a lively discussion of the scripture passages for the upcoming Sunday. On November 6, All Saints Day will be observed by lighting candles during the worship service in memory of friends or family members who have died.

Bethel UMC

Cedarville Nights Community Dinner will be held Wednesday 5:45 - 6:30 PM in the Family Life Center with a menu of Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Glazed Carrots, Salad, Rolls, and CVille Cookies. Suggested donation is $5.00 per person or a family cap of $18. The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will meet Thursday at 7:00 am at the Ice House Deli. Holy Trinity Orthodox Church

Pottstown — The Annual Fall Bazaar will be held at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1236 Juniper St., on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 am to 2 pm. Customers will be able to purchase pierogies, either potato or sauerkraut; halupki (stuffed cabbage); halushki (buttered noodles and cabbage); potato pancakes, kielbasa, and various nut rolls, all made from authentic Slavic recipes. Home-made soups and baked goods will be available. Guests can enjoy a meal at the church or buy take-out. The bazaar will feature gift basket raffles and a flea market. On-site parking is available.
